December 12-14, 2009

The SDTI will be in Grapevine, TX to exhibit the Institute's products and services at the National Athletic Directors Conference and to discuss student drug testing with influential decision makers.

The SDTI will be happy to offer workshops to assist in developing and implementing a student drug-testing program. These workshops are conducted for groups of schools or school districts. We strongly recommend inviting representatives from all the constituents that will be involved in the drug testing program initiation and implementation. Teams attending from schools districts should include superintendents, district-based administrators, school-based administrators, counselors, coaches, parents, representatives of drug coalitions and other community groups. The workshop is also suitable for local or regional conferences of school administrators, athletic advisers, and many other such groups.

The workshops are designed to run one full day. In addition to the general information, the Institute can also provide speakers for the workshop to discuss legal issues, other school districts’ experiences, or technical issues related to drug testing. The SDTI can also provide materials and on-site workshop support.
