The following policies illustrate many of the components of a cohesive and well-crafted random student drug-testing program. However, these selections are meant to serve only as a sample of the many diverse policies in place nationwide. You will see in the following examples that policies can differ significantly, so that the program can be tailored to the needs of an individual school or community needs. The SDTI will continue to add policies to this list as they come to our attention, presuming they fit the criteria of comprehensive, legally compliant, and effective programs.
